Where to Ask for Jail or Record Help

For local custody questions, start with the Adams County Sheriff's Office and jail at 306 State Street, Natchez, MS 39120. Sheriff Travis Patten's office lists the 24-hour main line as 601-442-2752, jail phone as 601-442-4199, fax as 601-442-3926, and public office hours as Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Records questions may also go to records@adamscosheriff.org or the county NextRequest portal at adamscountyms.nextrequest.com. Background checks are handled in person with valid ID and a form, with a $10 fee. Reports are available after 10 a.m. the day after filing.
